Expert literacy support — from first assessment to lasting results.

Every service at Open Book Literacy is built around one goal: giving your child the tools they need to become a confident, capable reader.

Step 1

Discovery Call

We'll discuss your child's history, your concerns, and what the right path forward looks like.

This is the first step to beginning any work together, and it is free of charge.

Clinical Assessment

Based on your child's needs, I select from a tailored battery of assessments:

• Reading fluency & decoding (TOWRE-2)
• Oral reading (GORT-5)
• Academic achievement (WIAT-4)
• Spelling, writing & phonics analysis

Record Review:

Have prior testing or school records? A record review can be completed before assessment to determine what additional information is needed.

Step 3

Meeting

We review findings together and I give you a complete picture of your child's learning profile, strengths, and needs. From here we determine the right next steps — whether that's intervention, school support, or both.

Intervention

As an Associate Level Certified Orton Gillingham practitioner, I sequence lessons specifically for how your child learns. Session frequency varies per child and is determined together at the roadmap meeting.
